The Intergenerational Landed Learning Project promotes garden based intergenerational collaboration and interdisciplinary hands-on learning. Our programs merge educational research and school curriculum to teach about and promote environmental stewardship, healthy diets and lifestyles, and social development.

Students participating in the Intergenerational Landed Learning Project have the opportunity to become “Chefs of the Day”. Children begin to understand the concept of farm to table as they prepare a recipe using food harvested from their garden beds with other locally and globally produced ingredients to share with their classmates and volunteers!
On September 11, 42 international delegates joined the Cultivating Learning Network at the UBC Farm and UBC Orchard Garden for the World Environmental Education Congress (WEEC).
